Blog post by Veteran, in chronic under-treated pain, struggling to stay alive. Excerpt: “I can remember no time without pain. date 21 Dec 2007 | category Police & prosecutions

News item: “A key government witness [Jennifer Riggle] was sentenced Thursday to six months in prison for repeatedly violating her probation conditions. Riggle’s probation was revoked for shoplifting and failing three drug tests. [She] originally avoided prison by testifying against Dr. Rottschaefer, a former Oakmont doctor convicted in March 2004 on 153 counts of illegally prescribing painkillers.” Now: RELEASE DR. ROTTSHAEFER, victim of an OBVIOUSLY vindictive prosecution by the notoriously politically ambitious and self-absorbed U.S. Attorney, Mary Beth Buchanan!

USA v Dr. Martinez goes to Jury

Blog post about the case of U.S.A. v Dr. Rosa Martinez by Dr. Alexander DeLuca, defense medical expert. Case involves federal overreaching, and groundless charges that Dr. Martinez was drug criminal instead of the caring family doctor caring for her chronic pain patients entirely up to the medical standard of care for pain management.

Dr. Stack Indicted

Blog entry about typical drug war Trash Journalism – this time regarding the federal indictment of Dr. Stack in Utah on drug charges. “Stack was arrested in May for investigation of dealing large quantities of narcotic pain killers to people without a legitimate medical reason.” And so on. No cognizance we’ve only heard one side of the story so far, that Warren Stack is innocent until proven guilty. This isn’t journalism, it’s a press release for the government.

PRN: 4th Amendment Officially Dead

Blog post about Maia Szalivitz on Prescription Monitoring Programs (PMP) and the Pain Relief Network\’s opposition on constitutional grounds. Reynolds, of PRN, said, “Until now, the systematic violation of patient’s 4th Amendment rights was more or less hidden from public view. Now, the Vermont police have pulled back the veil for all of us to see the vicious witch hunt being perpetrated against people unfortunate enough to require Controlled Substances for the treatment of serious illness.”
